Accelerating antibiotic access and stewardship: a new model to safeguard public health

The Personal View highlights the challenges faced by low-income and middle-income countries (LMICs) in combating bacterial antimicrobial resistance. Traditional stewardship models face implementation challenges due to financial, health system, and human resource constraints. A paradigm shift is suggested, emphasizing sustainable access to antibiotics. Interventions include task shifting and a hub-and-spoke model for optimal use and resource maximisation.
